Kitty is now 8 years old! For those of you just being introduced to her, Kitty was born with trisomy 21 aka Down syndrome. She had multiple heart defects forcing 3 heart surgeries as well as having other types of surgeries under her belt. Her last open heart was at age 5. She also has a rare endocrine disorder called hyperinsulinemia hyperammoniaism (HIHA). We recently found out that Kitty has non-genetic dwarfism. This was likely caused from medical trauma. Her body is constantly in a mode to survive something catastrophic and fears putting energy into growth. At 8 years old she’s the size of a 2 year old.

Kitty is very silly and funny. Every day is opposite day to get a reaction. Our little prankster! She enjoys swimming, music, and dancing. Kitty is now in the 1st grade. She enjoys phonics but sees no use for math just yet. She will laugh at you when you try to talk math with her. She’s a bubbly energetic girl who loves to be on the go! She has traveled to Canada, Mexico, Barbados, and multiple states. We are planning on adding many countries in Europe to her list within the year. This girl loves to fly!
